Mahindra & Mahindra has launched its highly anticipated SUV, the XUV300 TurboSport, to the Nepalese market. The new XUV300 TurboSport showcases new design elements and it is comes with a robust 1.2 mStallion TGDi engine. The SUV is available in four trim levels: W4, W6, W8, and W8 (O), with prices starting from Rs 42.95 lakh and reaching up to Rs 60 lakh.
Design
While the overall shape of the new TurboSport models retains the same as the outgoing XUV300, the new SUV introduces sporty design elements including a gloss black grille with red accents, a fresh ‘Twin peak’ logo, and all-black Outside Rear View Mirrors (ORVMs). Additionally, the SUV is available in three new dual-tone color combinations: Blazing Bronze with a black roof, Napoli Black with a white roof, and Pearl White with a black roof, in addition to three monotone color choices: Blazing Bronze (new), Pearl White, and Napoli Black.
Inside, the SUV features an all-black interior with leatherette-upholstered seats. The driver’s seat is adjustable for height, and the second-row seats offer a 60:40 split option. Other notable interior elements include silver accents on the dashboard and center console, chrome-finish pedals, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, adjustable headrests, and a sunroof, among other features.
Powertrain
The XUV300 TurboSport is powered by the latest 1.2-liter mStallion TGDi petrol engine that is coupled with a six-speed manual transmission. This engine generates a peak power output of 128 hp at 5000 rpm and a maximum torque of 230 Nm in the range of 1500-3750 rpm. Mahindra claims that this new engine offers 35% better efficiency compared to rival engines. Furthermore, the SUV is capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 kmph in just 5 seconds.

Features
The XUV300 TurboSport models have received a commendable 5-star G NCAP safety rating, along with a solid 4-star child safety rating. Additionally, the SUV offers a range of safety features, including four-wheel disc brakes, front parking sensors, six airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with hill start assist, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), a passenger airbag deactivation switch, ISOFIX seating points, and Corner Braking Control (CBC), among others.
In terms of convenience, the new SUV is equipped with LED lighting, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlamp control, a rear parking camera with adaptive guidelines, a 7-inch feather-touch infotainment system featuring BlueSense Connect capabilities, electrically adjustable and foldable outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs), and MicroHybrid technology, among various other amenities.
