Mahindra & Mahindra has introduced the highly anticipated Scorpio-N SUV in the Nepalese market. This new SUV is constructed on the company’s third-generation body-on-frame platform and showcases a fresh design with enhanced features. The Scorpio-N is available in two versions, the Z4 and the Z8, with prices ranging from Rs 81.50 lakh to Rs 1.24 crore.

Design
The all-new Scorpio-N is constructed on Mahindra’s third-generation body-on-frame platform, boasting larger dimensions compared to its predecessors, with an additional 206 mm in length and 97 mm in width, as well as a 70 mm longer wheelbase than the standard Scorpio. The SUV’s updated front appearance includes a revamped front grille with six chrome slats, the brand’s new “Twin Peak” emblem, dual LED projector headlamps, and C-shaped fog lamps. Inside, it features a dual-tone interior in black and brown, offering seating for seven. The dashboard showcases a three-spoke steering wheel with integrated controls, a seven-inch TFT instrument cluster, an eight-inch infotainment system, and an electric sunroof as an added feature.
Powertrain
The Scorpio-N is equipped with a 2.2-liter turbo-diesel engine that can produce a maximum power output of 172 horsepower and a peak torque of 400 Nm. You can choose between a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic transmission to pair with this engine. Additionally, this four-wheel-drive SUV provides four different driving modes: Tarmac, Snow, Mud, and Desert.

The Scorpio-N is equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which runs on the company’s ArdenoX suite and offers compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additionally, the ArdenoX system provides over 70 car-connectivity features that can be monitored through a smartphone and smartwatch. The SUV boasts several convenient features, including an electric sunroof, a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, an engine start/stop button, dual-zone air conditioning, a multifunctional electric steering wheel, power windows, electrically adjustable outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs), wireless charging, cruise control, and front and rear cameras, depending on the specific variant. In terms of safety, the SUV offers up to seven airbags and includes other features like ABS with EBD, ESC, traction control, hill-hold/descent control, rear and front parking sensors, and ISOFIX, which vary depending on the chosen variant.
