BYD Atto 3 Limited Edition launched in Nepal

Cimex Inc. Pvt. Ltd, the official distributor of BYD vehicles in Nepal, has introduced the new Atto 3 Limited Edition. This exclusive edition of the Atto 3 features a distinctive Forest Green color scheme, while retaining all the existing mechanical specifications from the previous models. The introductory price for this electric vehicle will be set at Rs 66.88 lakh, representing a Rs 1 lakh increase compared to the standard Superior variant of the Atto 3.

Design and features

The Limited Edition of the Atto 3 features a unique Forest Green color, but retains the same design elements as the previous models. The front of the electric vehicle features a streamlined bumper with a prominent central chrome bar that extends to the slender LED headlights with daytime running lights (DRLs). Moving to the rear, the vehicle is equipped with split LED taillights connected by a horizontal light strip.

In the interior, the electric vehicle (EV) features leather seats, and the rear seat has a 60/40 split capability, allowing for an increased cargo capacity of up to 1340 liters. The dashboard is equipped with a multifunctional steering wheel, a 5-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system that supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The new variant of the Atto 3 includes significant features like a wireless phone charger, electrically adjustable outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs), one-touch open/close tailgate, built-in USB charger, keyless entry and ignition, seven SRS airbags, ISOFIX child restraint anchorage points, an automatic emergency braking system with front and rear warnings, Bluetooth connectivity, ABS (anti-lock braking system), TCS (traction control system), ESP (electronic stability program), HDC (hill descent control), and TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system), among other features.

Powertrain

The Limited Edition variant of the Atto 3 comes equipped with BYD’s 60.4 kWh Blade Battery, paired with a 100 kW PMSM (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor), capable of delivering a peak torque of 310 Nm. According to the company, the electric vehicle (EV) can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 9.7 seconds. In terms of charging, the crossover takes approximately 9.5-10 hours to fully charge using a 7 kW AC charger, and when using an 80 kW DC charger, it can charge from 0-80% in about 50 minutes. On a single charge, the EV offers a range of 420 km. Additionally, the battery comes with an 8-year warranty from the company.
