Seres, a Chinese electric vehicle brand, has launched the all-new Seres 3 at the 2023 NADA Auto Show. The new Seres 3 is powered by a 52.7 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that will offer a maximum range of 405 km on a single charge. The company has offered the EV in two variants: Comfort and Premium–at a base price of 47.99 lakh.
Design and features
The Seres 3 gets a sporty design. The EV’s front end comes with LED projector headlamps and a robust grille, and on the rear, the Seres gets LED tail lights. In terms of its dimensions, the EV measures 4385 mm in length, 1850 mm in width, and 1650 mm in height, it has a wheelbase of 3655 mm and a ground clearance of 190 mm. And for the interiors, the EV comes with leather-upholstered seats, a flat-bottom steering wheel with mounted controls, a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument console, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
The new EV comes equipped with notable features such as airbags, ESP, EBA/EBD, hill launch assistance, auto hold and HDC, TPMS, cruise control, rear parking sensor, traction control, panoramic sunroof, electrically adjustable driver/co-driver seats, keyless entry, multi steering modes (Comfort, Normal, and Sport), automatic climate control, rear AC vents, dash cam, and roof rails, among others.
Powertrain
The Seres 3 is powered by the 52.7 kWh battery pack–mated to a 99 kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM)–that is capable of generating a peak torque of 300 Nm. For charging, the EV can be fully-charged in around 9 hours via a normal power outlet, and on a single charge, the company claims the EV to provide a NEDC range of 405 km. Moreover, the Seres 3 is offered in three driving modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport.

Seres 3 price in Nepal
MAW Vriddhi Autocorp, the sole authorised distributor of Seres electric vehicles in Nepal, has launched the Seres 3 in two variants–the Comfort and the Premium–at an introductory price of Rs 47.99 Lakh and Rs 49.99 Lakh, respectively. However, the company has set the post-launch price of the Comfort variant and the Premium variants at Rs 49.99 Lakh and Rs 52.99 Lakh, respectively.
