Nissan has introduced the 2023 Magnite in India. This updated Magnite model includes enhanced safety features, some design changes, while maintaining the existing powertrain. The compact SUV is available in five different variants: XE, XL, XV Executive, XV, and XV Premium, with prices starting at INR 6 lakh.
Design and features
The new Magnite retains the same design as its predecessor, with the distinction that the XV variants no longer include LED fog lamps, which are now exclusive to the top-spec versions.
The 2023 Magnite now gets active safety elements like Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), Traction Control System (TCS), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Hydraulic Brake Assist (HBA), and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). Prior to this enhancement, these features were exclusively available in the turbo-petrol variants. Additional standout features include a 360-degree camera, wireless compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, LED headlights, over 50 connected car functionalities, and 16-inch alloy wheels, among other offerings.
Powertrain
The updated Magnite continues to offer two petrol engines: a 1.0-liter naturally aspirated and a 1.0-liter turbo-petrol. The 1.0-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine delivers 70 hp of power and 96 Nm of torque, while the 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engine generates 98 hp of power and 160 Nm of torque. For transmission, both engines can be paired with either a standard five-speed manual transmission or a CVT for automatic transmission.
